STORY: Writer's Intensive
July 31 - August 4 (M-F, 10AM-3PM)
Ages 13+

Whether you want to write a novel, compose a collection of poems, pen your college application essay, create a monologue for stage, ink a journalistic travelogue, or craft a nonfiction narrative based on an ancient civilization, this weeklong summer intensive takes your work to the deepest level. Each writer has the opportunity to focus on a single piece of writing—developing process, refining craft, and polishing work. Days are filled with individualized writing instruction, one-on-one editing, structured free writing time, and outdoor summer activities including daily pool time.

Playwriter's Dreamshop
August 7-11 (M-F, 9AM-3PM)
Ages 10+
Cost: $350
Instructor: Emilia Teasdale and Tarcisio Ramos dos Santos

The sky is the limit in this outdoor collaborative playwriting workshop. Let your imagination run wild as we dream up, write, rehearse, and perform an original play. Together, we explore the elements of playwriting and write a script. We will also engage in aspects of theatrical production including acting, costume and set design, staging, and sound. Our efforts culminate in a final performance, set against the landscape of The Fields Sculpture Park at Art Omi, for friends and family on the final day of the program.
